Endless Maze: one life, infinite random mazes
A brand-new maze on every board, speed that keeps climbing, and exactly one life. The board number is your badge of honour.
How Endless Maze differs
Unlike the classic mode, every board is generated from a random seed, so you cannot memorise layouts. You start with one life and never gain more. Speed scales with level exactly as in Maze Muncher, and the orb window shrinks the same way. The score carries across boards, and the level counter shows how far you survived.
Surviving longer
- Spend the first two seconds of each board scanning for loops: corridors that connect back on themselves are escape routes.
- Dead ends are removed by the generator, so there is always a second way out, but some loops are long. Prefer short loops near orbs.
- The wandering violet drone becomes a direct chaser when you are within seven tiles. Keep it at distance when the others are close.
Endless modes have a long history in the genre; the official 2015 mobile title that popularised them is covered in pacman 256 vs pacman 99. For the full set of free games, return to free browser maze games or the mr pacman games and guides.
Frequently asked questions
Is Endless Maze harder than Maze Muncher?
Yes. Random layouts and a single life make it the most demanding mode, which is why its best score is tracked separately.
Do the mazes repeat?
Practically never. Each board uses a fresh random seed.
Is there a final level?
No. The game continues until you are caught.
